Touch for Health 1 - 15 hours, Saturday, Feb 11 and Mar 3
Introduces the basics of the Touch for Health (TFH) balancing system. Students will learn the art and subtleties of muscle testing, and how to use it to assess the 14 acupuncture meridians. Students will then learn the step -by-step balance-as-you-go process for balancing the body's energies. The theory of TFH and the acupuncture meridians are introduced with the western reflex techniques that are used to restore balance for improving posture, alleviating pain and stress, and for enhancing vitality and mental performance. Balancing techniques include the Neurolymphatic reflexes, Neurovascular reflexes, Meridians, Origin/Insertion, and Food/muscle/meridian testing. Additional techniques included are Cross Crawl, the Emotional Stress Release Technique, Visual Inhibition and Surrogate Testing.
Touch for Health 2 - 15 hours, Satudays Mar. 17 and Apr. 14
This course introduces additional muscles, more energy balancing techniques and meridian theories. New techniques and concepts presented in TFH 2 are: Circuit Locating which helps identify the body's preference for balancing technique; Alarm Points for over-energy detection; the Meridian Wheel and Time of Day Balance; the Law of Five Elements; Meridian Walking for pain; several specialized balancing techniques and three self-balancing techniques.
